Ken Read, Director & Certified Financial Strategist

Ken has been providing advice in the Financial Services industry since 1988. Having started a career in civil engineering he realized that his true passion is helping people with professional financial advice.

As a Certified Financial Strategist, Ken is committed to being part of the journey with his clients and providing high quality service. With a very approachable demeanor, Ken explains strategies in an easy to understand way, helping his clients be informed and confident each step of the way. His commitment to provide personal advice is shown through continued education, by attending training courses, seminars and professional development days to ensure his qualifications and knowledge is always up to date.

To assist Ken, he has the staff at Consilium Financial, who believe there is more to financial planning the simply “putting something away for the future”. It’s about assessing your current financial situation, identifying your long term lifestyle goals, building the best path to help you achieve them, and helping you track the progress.

Ken is also a member of the Association of Independently Owned Financial Professionals (AIOFP).

In his spare time Ken likes to be adventurous and travel to remote countries on motorcycle trips. Plus being an avid rugby union follower and ex- player, he is actively involved with Nedlands Rugby Union Club now enjoying watching the game from the sidelines.

Brodie Read Adviser

Brodie Read, Financial Planner
Brodie has been working at Consilium Financial since 2011 and has been in the financial planning industry for over a decade and holds a Bachelor of Business (Financial Planning) With a passion for building positive working relationships with clients, Brodie likes to work side by side with them to assist with wealth enhancement and achieving life goals through financial freedom. This could cover from first home purchases right through to retirement planning.
Approaching a financial adviser can seem daunting at first, however Brodie ensures his clients have a positive experience. By exploring his client’s current situation and assisting them in discovering what is really important to them, he helps to articulate their short, medium and long term goals that become the foundation of his advice.

Brodie ensures he and his clients work together as a team toward achieving the goals they set. Brodie also holds Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking. Brodie is also a member of the Association of Independently Owned Financial Professionals (AIOFP) and the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA).

In his downtime Brodie likes to play basketball and also has an interest in learning new languages. He enjoys travelling to different countries and of course watching sport, particularly rugby and soccer.

Brian Kelly

Brian Kelly, Office Manager & Para-planner

Brian is an invaluable asset to our team at Consilium Financial as our Office Manager and Para-planner. Brian is a highly technical and qualified individual who can offer skills in addition to the advisors to provide our clients with a positive, professional experience.

He enjoys the constant challenges that he comes across on a daily basis while working in the Financial advising sector.

Out of the office he is kept busy with his family, including two daughters, and their sporting activities.

Brian has called Perth home now for 15 years after living and working in Japan and New Zealand.

Shona Read, Client Services
Shona has owned and managed various businesses over the years and now lends her experience to working at Consilium Financial. She is part of our client services and business development division and always enjoys catching up with clients, some who have been with Consilium Financial for over 30 years. She also shares Ken and their 3 children's love of rugby and travel.
